1. Introduction

Welcome to myperfectresumee. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our resume and SOP template platform.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you give us

• Account details if you register: your name, email address and password.
• Guest email address if you open a free template without logging in. We store it with the templates you opened, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, and set a cookie so you are not asked again on that browser.
• Payment details if you buy a plan: the name, email address and phone number you enter at checkout, and the payment record described in Section 9A. Card, UPI and bank details go to Razorpay, not to us.
• Contact-form messages: your name, email address, subject and message.
• SOP Template Finder searches (paid plans): the keyword you search for and the template returned, linked to your account (see Section 9B).

2.2 Information collected automatically

• View counts for templates and articles. We store an anonymised visitor identifier (a one-way hash of your IP address and browser user-agent), the page or template viewed and the time. Known bots are excluded.
• Login security records: login attempts (the email address entered and the IP address), kept for 24 hours to block password-guessing.
• Analytics and advertising data, only if you accept cookies: see Sections 7 to 9.
• Server logs kept by our hosting provider (IP address, pages requested, browser), used for security and troubleshooting.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Providing the service: logging you in, activating the plan you paid for, tracking SOP Template Finder credits.
• Answering you: replying to contact-form messages and support emails.
• Security: preventing password-guessing, fraud and abuse.
• Improving the site: seeing which templates and articles are used, in aggregate.
• Service emails: for example password-reset emails you request. We do not send marketing email without your consent.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Storage and Security

• The site and its database are hosted by our hosting provider and served over HTTPS.
• Account passwords are never shared with third parties or shown to anyone other than the account holder.
• Access to the database and admin area is restricted to the people who run the site.
• Login attempts are rate-limited to protect accounts.

No method of storing or sending data over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. If we become aware of a breach that affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:

• With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share information
• Service Providers: With third-party vendors who help us operate our platform. Specifically: our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database; Razorpay for payment processing (Section 9A); Google for analytics and, in future, advertising (Sections 8 and 9); and our email provider for transactional and support email.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability: Receive the account data we hold about you in a common format (your resumes and SOPs are never stored by us, so they are already only on your device)
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience:

• Essential Cookies: Required for the platform to function properly
• Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how users interact with our service (see Google Analytics below)
• Preference Cookies: Remember your settings and preferences
• Advertising Cookies: Used by third-party advertising partners such as Google to serve and measure ads (see Advertising below)

How your choice is enforced. Analytics and advertising cookies are switched off by default. When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or decline. If you decline, or simply do not choose, we do not load Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager at all, and Google's advertising signals stay in a denied state. Only essential and preference cookies are used in that case. Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie named mpr_consent for 180 days.

You can change your decision at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Browser-level cookie controls also work, though disabling essential cookies may stop the platform functioning.

We use Google Consent Mode v2 so that Google's own tags receive your choice directly. Note that if we begin serving ads to visitors in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we will additionally use a Google-certified consent management platform as Google requires.

8. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as your IP address (in anonymized form where available), device and browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the site. This information helps us improve our content and services. Google's use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We load Google Analytics only after you have accepted analytics cookies. If you decline, the Google Analytics library is never requested by your browser.

8.1 Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager (container ID GTM-5ZW6VVC3), also provided by Google LLC, as the mechanism that loads the tags described in this policy. Tag Manager itself does not set analytics or advertising cookies, but it can load services that do, so we treat it the same way: the container is not loaded at all unless you have accepted. Google's handling of data received through Tag Manager is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

9. Advertising and Google AdSense

Current status: we are not displaying advertisements on this site at the time of writing. We have prepared the site for Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC, and this section explains how advertising will work if and when we begin serving ads. It is written in advance so that nothing changes about your privacy without the policy already telling you. Advertising would help us keep our resume and SOP building tools free or affordable.

The AdSense script is present on our pages so that Google can verify the site, but it operates under a denied advertising-consent state unless you have accepted advertising cookies.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, would use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to collect information about your activity in order to provide relevant advertising and measure ad performance.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or www.youronlinechoices.eu. 9A. Payments

Paid plans are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited ("Razorpay"), our payment partner in India. When you buy a plan you are handed to Razorpay to complete the payment.

• We never see or store your card details. Card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, net-banking credentials and similar payment credentials are entered on Razorpay's systems, not ours, and are not transmitted to our servers.
• What we do store is the record of the purchase: your account identifier, the plan bought, the amount, the currency, the payment status and the transaction or order reference returned by Razorpay. We need this to grant access to the plan you paid for, to answer billing questions and to meet tax and accounting obligations.
• What we share with Razorpay to start a payment is the amount, the plan, an order reference and the contact details needed to process and receipt the transaction.
• Razorpay processes this data as an independent controller for its own compliance and fraud-prevention duties. Its handling of your data is governed by the Razorpay Privacy Policy.

Payment records are retained for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law, which may be longer than the retention period described in Section 14 for other account data.

9B. SOP Template Finder and Document Content

This section covers what happens to text you type into our tools, because that is the most personal data on the site.

• No artificial intelligence is used. We do not send your resume, your Statement of Purpose, or anything you type into the SOP Template Finder to any AI or language-model provider. There is no such integration on this site.
• The SOP Template Finder is a search. When you enter a keyword, that keyword is matched against the country and category fields of our own SOP template library and a stored template written by our team is returned. Your keyword is processed on our own server and is not shared with a third party.
• What we log for it. We record the keyword you searched for, that a credit was used, the account it belonged to, the balance before and after, and the template returned. This is needed to operate the credit system and to resolve billing disputes. We do not build an advertising profile from it.
• Your resume and SOP content is not sent to our servers. The editors build your document in your browser, so we cannot see it, and it is not saved: if you close the tab, it is gone. Keep your own copy of anything you write.
• Contact form messages you send are stored in our database and emailed to our support address so we can reply. They are used only to answer you.

10. Your Rights under GDPR (EEA/UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our lawful bases for processing your data include your consent, the performance of a contract (providing our services), and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the platform. In addition to the rights listed in Section 6, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time, the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Where we rely on consent (for example, for personalized advertising cookies), you may withdraw it at any time.

11. Your Rights under CCPA (California Users)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information for money. Certain uses of advertising cookies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA; you may opt out using the advertising opt-out links in Section 9 or by contacting us at the address below.

12. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

13. Other Third-Party Services

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with external services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

14. Data Retention

We keep account details while your account exists, and guest email addresses until you ask us to delete them. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Contact messages and view counts are kept while they are useful for support and for understanding how the site is used. To have your account or guest email deleted, email us from the address concerned; we will do so within 30 days, except for records we must keep by law.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
