What the builder does — and what it does not
A form on one side, a live preview of the finished page on the other, and a PDF at the end. Here is each part, including the limits you should know before you start.

Live preview
The page updates as you type, and the preview scrolls to the section you are editing, so you see layout problems straight away.
Colour and section controls
Change a template's accent colour with a colour picker, and hide sections you do not need. Fonts and layout are fixed by each template.
PDF download
Resumes download as an image-based PDF that looks exactly like the preview. The text is not selectable — see below for when that matters.

Building a resume, step by step
- Pick a template on the templates page. Each one has a detail page with its layout, whether it has a photo area, and what plan it needs.
- Open it. For the two free templates, guests are asked for an email address first; logged-in users go straight in. Paid templates open for everyone to try.
- Fill in the form on the left: contact details, summary, experience, education, skills and any extra sections the template has. The preview on the right updates as you type.
- Adjust the accent colour and hide sections you do not need. Some templates have a photo area, which you can leave empty.
- Download the PDF. Free templates download on any plan; other templates need Pro or Premium (see pricing).
Limits you should know before you start
We would rather you read these here than discover them halfway through an application.

Why the preview sits beside the form
Most formatting problems are invisible until the document is finished: a bullet that wraps onto a second line, a section that pushes onto a new page, a sidebar that runs longer than the main column. Seeing the page while you type lets you fix those as they happen — cut a bullet, shorten a skill name, hide an empty section — instead of after you have downloaded and sent the file.
The SOP builder and the SOP Template Finder
A Statement of Purpose is a continuous argument, not a list, so it has its own builder. Choose a template for your purpose — for example an undergraduate, graduate or PhD application, or a student-visa SOP for the UK, Canada, Australia, Germany or New Zealand — fill in each section and check the A4 preview. Anyone can open and edit SOP templates; downloading as PDF or Word (.doc) needs a paid plan (Pro covers the first 11 SOP templates, Premium and Unlimited cover all).
The SOP Template Finder is a keyword search over a library of sample SOPs our team wrote in advance. Type something like "canada student visa" and it returns a matching sample. Each search uses one plan credit. It does not read or rewrite your draft, and the samples are for structure — an SOP copied from a sample is easy for a reader to spot. Who this suits, and who it does not
- Good fit: you know what you want to say and want a designed, consistent page quickly; you mostly send resumes by email or to people; you want to try a layout before paying.
- Less good fit: you apply mainly through portals that parse uploads (use a text-based resume); you need to edit the file later in Word; you want the tool to write content for you.
Privacy
What you type into a resume or SOP stays in your browser; it is not sent to our server. We do collect some information — for example the email address guests enter before a free template, account and payment records, and anonymised page-view counts. The privacy policy lists it all.
